President's Welcome
2008-2009

The benefit of joining the Cornell Club of Maryland is: Communication.

This means communication with alumni in the Maryland area, which includes career networking and professional contacts in the businesses that you have prepared yourself for, and in which Cornellians have made themselves prominent. Just check our Members' List to find classmates and talk to them about what you would like to do for business or recreation in Maryland. If you are new to the Baltimore and Annapolis areas, you will be pleased to know that the Cornell online community is here for you.

The club also works concurrently with the Cornell Ambassadors (CAAAN) program, which plans to have an active year, interviewing the area's potential Cornellians. To learn more about the program, please contact Amy Resnik (akr26@cornell.edu).

Our membership dues support all these programs for the upcoming year, as well as the operational expenses of the association. If you know of any Cornellian in the area who would like to join, they should contact our Membership Chair, Melissa Sokol (sok_mel@yahoo.com).

If you aren't already a member, this is your opportunity to enjoy programs and events that you can't find elsewhere and to keep in touch with the University and your alumni friends. As you can see, the club hosts a variety of activities that include social gatherings, cultural activities, thought-provoking lectures and community services.
